Elizabeth Blancke-Biggs, Mezzo Soprano
Ms Blancke-Biggs is rapidly establishing herself internationally in the lirico-spinto repertoire. Her Italian debut was in the title role of the Jonathan Miller production of Maria Stuarda at the Teatro Regio di Torino. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Violetta in the Zeffirelli production of La Traviata. Previously New York audiences heard her as Mimì in La Bohème and Tosca at the New York City Opera, and as Ginevra in the world premiere of Louis Gioia’s Un Racconto Fiorentino at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. She also sang her first Desdemona in Otello for Utah Opera.
JANNELL McCOY, Mezzo Soprano,

Hailed for her stagecraft and “sultry” voice, mezzo-soprano Janelle McCoy has been active in opera, concert, and oratorio. Ms. McCoy has performed with world-class orchestras and artists such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; conductors Robert Spano, Donald Runnicles, and the late Robert Shaw; soprano, Dawn Upshaw, bass James Morris, and soprano Christine Brewer. In Philadelphia, she made her Kimmel Center debut as Maddalena (Rigoletto). In the Aix-en-Provence festival, she made her debut accompanied by Robin Bowman, pianist.
ASHLEY HOWARD WILKINSON, Bass
sang the role of Sarastro for the Utah Opera and made his debut with the Los Angeles Opera singing the role of Pedro in the U.S. premiere of Il Gato Montes. He continued the season by making his debut at The Nashville Opera singing the role of Sparafucile in Verdi’s Rigoletto after receiving critical acclaim for his performance in the same role for the Buffalo Opera. Mr. Wilkinson finished the season by performing the role of Basilio in the New York City Opera’s National Tour of The Barber of Seville.
